I started working with Katie at Elevated Strength in September of 2020. Being a busy working mom, I’d put my health on the back burner for years, resulting in my being very overweight and at a very low fitness level. Starting a new program or joining a gym was daunting to me, but circumstances in my life dictated that I needed to get on the road to being a healthier, stronger me. I reached out to Katie and have been working with her for fitness & nutrition coaching ever since. During this time I’ve lost more than 50lbs and almost 13% body fat, while at the same time shifting to a much healthier way of fueling my body.

My gains in strength, overall fitness and endurance are just as large, as are the improvements to my self confidence. Working with someone who is so knowledgeable and experienced was a must, but Katie brings a caring touch to her coaching that makes what she does so invaluable to me.

Katie at ELEVATED Strength is such a versatile trainer. Her depth and breadth of knowledge when it comes to anatomy and exercise physiology is above and beyond. She is able to offer alternative exercises for people who have injuries to those who want to push themselves in their fitness journey.

Each group class feels like a unique personal training experience where proper form is cultivated. This is not a cookie cutter exercise routine.

Katie keeps each class fun and diverse. Her encouragement and constant motivation have really pushed me to do more than I thought possible. In the last four years, we have yet to repeat the same workout. Katie takes us on a weekly/monthly journey alternating focus on strength, endurance and cardio. I’ve been personal training with Katie and ELEVATED Strength + Conditioning for over a year now. I’d been athletic most my life, now in my 40’s with work, life and an affinity for food and spirits, my body became uncomfortable, enough to where a single day of yard work took a few days to recover from.

After my initial session with Katie I knew that this was the right connection. While I was uncomfortable with the shape my body had grown into, Katie listened and zeroed in on a plan to help me regain my strength. Not a weight loss program but strength.

My back no longer feels like I threw it out after doing heavy lifting because my core is stronger. My balance and agility are improved, low impact activities like climbing a ladder are not daunting. Katie recognizes that a single style of training does not fit everyone and a body does not need to be chiseled and cut to be athletic and healthy, which is the most impressive aspect of training with Katie. She does homework and modifies training based on how I tell her my body feels and what my goals are, it’s literally, personalized training and ELEVATED Strength + Conditioning is the best at it.
